Collaboration, Agency, Research, Design (CARD) Projects is a socially engaged design practice that works in the fields of art, architecture, engagement and education. We collaborate with people to empower agency in the built environment, working with a research led approach to create thoughtful design solutions.

Katie Fisher
(she/her)
BA(Hons), MArch, ARB, RIBA


Katie is an architect, mentor, and advocate. She was named in the 2024 RIBA Rising Star shortlist for her work promoting inclusion and agency in the industry. She currently teaches at Ravensbourne University and has been a visiting tutor at Westminster University. She is also a visiting reviewer at Westminster University and UCL. She has experience in planning and delivering workshops at SEND schools as well as secondary level. 

Katie has mentored on a range of programmes including the Design Museum's Ardagh Young Creatives, Built By Us FLUID scheme, Open City Accelerate, Social Mobility Foundation and with Westminster University as a Part 3 Champion. 

Prior to this role Katie has 8 years experience working in architecture and worked across a range of sectors including housing, cultural, retrofit and higher education. Her prior experience includes estate regeneration at Grounded Practice Ltd and part of the wider Museum of London redevelopment at Stanton Williams Architects.

Katie is passionate about making positive change in the architectural industry and is currently on the RIBA National Council as well as ambassador and committee roles at the Architect's Benevolent Society. She is also an alumni of the Architecture Foundation Young Trustees a collective who champion under represented voices and work on initiatives which implement positive change in the industry.
